Blackhall School runs a six-session cycle training scheme during school hours for P6 children on an annual basis. However, we depend on parent volunteers to train the children in small groups over a few weeks, so we need to enlist your help. Without parent support, the scheme cannot operate. This year we intend to run the training for P6 on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, commencing 9th April for six weeks. Emma Hughes, our Active Schools Co-ordinator, will come into school to coach volunteer parent trainers – this will take about one and a half hours. She will thereafter attend the training sessions with the children to supervise at key points. If you are able to attend a coaching session, and would like to become a parent cycle trainer, please complete the tear-off slip below as soon as possible.
