Eco Schools

We are currently working towards our Green Flag. The areas we are focussing on are ‘Health and Well Being’ and ‘Litter’. We hope to submit our Green Flag application in Spring 2008.

Each class decides on an EcoRep. The EcoRep attends Eco Committee meetings and helps to discuss ideas, make suggestions and speak to the whole school at assemblies.

We have a parent representative on our committee and welcome anyone else who is interested or feels they can provide resources or offer support in a particular area.

EcoReps are responsible for taking minutes at meetings. They talk to their class about these so that everyone is involved. Each class contributed to an Eco Code. It explains our school’s attitude to each of the Eco Schools’ areas. You can download our code below. The EcoReps have helped write our ‘Litter Policy’ (download below). Since we did our litter survey we have much less litter than before. We want our grounds to be litter free!
